THE DOCTRINE OF GOD IN 1ST AND 2ND TIMOTHY
1. We have learned that sound doctrine exists and that it
must be maintained, but why should we be concerned about
sound doctrine at all?
2. Who is God that we should bow before him?

only God, due honor and glory for ever and ever.
· 1 Tim. 4:3-4 – He is the creator.
· 1 Tim. 1:17; 6:15; 1 Cor. 8:6; Rom. 3:29-30. He is one.
· 1 Tim. 4:10 – He is living.
· 2 Tim. 1:12 – He is able.
3. What does all of this mean insofar as our relationship
to God is concerned?

1:9.
· As the living God, He gives life to all things. 1 Tim.
6:13.
· The church belongs to Him. 1 Tim. 3:5; 3:15.
